The last day in Australia. We drove out to this place.

Open fields stretched on. The road went on without end, as if there would be no day on which it stopped.

Herds of cattle. Herds of horses.

By evening, a lake. Lake Moogerah.

The water rippled, scattered bright. The fallen sun, broken into pieces, opening on the surface.

Beautiful. This is what a journey is for.
